At the direction of the designated Manager/Director/VP within the Risk & Insurance Services department, the Risk Specialist supports all insurance and risk mitigation strategies and functions through data management, presentation development, information assimilation and dissemination; Risk Specialists assist with compilation of information required for both reactive and proactive risk and insurance management functions including, leadership reports and information, educational/meeting materials and incident/claim information evaluation, submission and investigation

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
3+ years in Insurance, Risk Management, Quality, Operations or Administration in a Healthcare or Insurance organization
Previous experience in health care, underwriting or malpractice insurance preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Highly proficient in all Microsoft applications; Excellent organization skills and strong ability to multi-task; Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor; Self-directed/demonstrates initiative

Ability to extract, compile, analyze and develop large amounts of complex data from various sources
