Marion County Public Schools seeks a Safety and Loss Prevention Specialist to support training, investigations and recommendations to improve safety across employees and students. The role requires an associate degree, at least three years in safety or loss prevention, and a Florida driver’s license; a Florida All Lines Adjuster license is preferred or obtainable.
You will develop programs, coordinate training, handle claims, and liaise with Site Safety Committees to reduce hazards and loss
To support, the District employee and student base via training, investigations and recommendations in order to achieve optimal safety and loss prevention goals and initiatives.
Associate's degree from an accredited educational institution.
Minimum three years of verifiable experience, and/or an equivalent combination of education and training with loss prevention, occupational health, and safety programs.
Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology, as required for the position. Experience in data entry and Microsoft Suite.
Must possess a valid Florida driver's license and the ability to drive. Possess Florida All Lines Adjuster License or the ability to obtain one once employed.
The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures are above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
