Numericable is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Director in achieving safety and loss control objectives. The role involves minimizing job-related risks, inspecting sites, and enforcing OSH policies while resolving property damage and liability claims.

Ideal candidates can be located anywhere in Florida and will travel across the state. You will lead safety culture initiatives, assist with driver training, PPE distribution and safety incentives, with competitive pay and full

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
• Associates degree with two years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Professional certifications/credentials considered.
• Enthusiasm for improving safety and health of the workforce.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a representative of the Safety Program in the field and at branches throughout Florida.
• Facilitates positive interactions with employees and managers while asserting safety authority.
• Conduct jobsite assessments and facility inspections.
• Promote and reinforce safety culture through frequent interactions at branches and in the field.
• Assist with implementation of safety incentives and safety leadership programs.
• Assist with fleet management, driver training and online training program.
• Assist with production and distribution of Safety Program materials.
• Support Safety Director in management of claims.
• Assist with procurement and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment
• Complete Safety Training and / or Certification as assigned by Safety Director.

The Safety Coordinator position provides direct support to the Safety Director in achieving Safety and Loss Control objectives, minimizing risk of job-related accidents, monitoring operations to eliminate hazardous activities, and enforcing safety policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness. Other duties required are assisting and resolving property damage and liability claims.
