Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months clerical/secretarial experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year in workers' compensation administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and screens calls; schedules appointments and directs to appropriate team members.
  • Coordinates clerical tasks: scanning, attaching documents, filing, and keeping department records.
  • Opens and routes mail; drafts memoranda when needed withoutDirector involvement.
  • Oversees workers' compensation administration including filing with CCMSI and related documentation.
  • Maintains team member files, certifications, and related records.
  • Operates office equipment (Word, Access, Excel, printers, scanners).
  • Learn and operate the iTrak dispatch/report software.
  • Pursue and maintain security certs (CPR/AED/First Aid, Defensive Tactics, Bloodborne pathogens).
  • Assist security officers during emergencies or events as needed.
  • Inventory and purchase office and first aid materials; arrange department meetings.
  • Maintain certificates of insurance for the property.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Greets visitors in person and by telephone; screens calls, schedules appointments, provides information and refers callers to appropriate Team Members within the department.
  • Coordinates and processes clerical work such as scanning paperwork for reports, attaching documents to reports, filing, and maintaining department records.
  • Opens, reads, and routes incoming mail; answers correspondence and composes memoranda using own initiative when matters do not require personal attention of the Director.
  • Provides administrative oversight of the workers compensation program for the property including, but not limited to, filing claims with TPA CCMSI, preparing light duty/permanent duty offers, C3’s and other state documentation, and maintaining an electronic record for each claim.
  • Maintains Team Member files and records, including adding/removing certifications and other documentation.
  • Operates various office equipment including voice mail, computer terminals, calculators, copiers, fax machines, and personal computer hardware/software (Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel).
  • Will also be required to learn and operate the iTrak dispatch/report writing software.
  • Is expected to obtain and maintain security related certifications such as CPR/AED/First Aid, Defensive Tactics, Blood Borne Pathogens, etc.
  • Will be asked to assume the role of or assist security officers in the event of an emergency or special events.
  • Inventories and purchases all office and first aid materials for the department.
  • Makes all necessary arrangements for department meetings.
  • Maintains and logs all certificates of insurance for the property.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Certificates and Licenses
  • CRP/AED/First Aid Certification (obtained once employed).
  • Nevada Gaming Control Board License.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification.
  • Other certifications as needed.
Work Environment

The incumbent in this position works on‑site at the casino and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The position’s work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation. The incumbent may be asked to work in high‑stress environments during emergency situations.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
