Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst to own the second-line risk functions within the Risk Management Division. The role supports Archer GRC implementations, governance activities, and cross-functional collaboration across lines of business.

The ideal candidate will bring financial acumen, strong analytical skills, and experience in banking risk or internal audit, with proficiency in GRC tools and office software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in risk management and/or internal audit in banking preferred.
• Strong computer skills; experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) applications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide second line oversight for designated front line business areas.
• Support stakeholder development initiatives in Archer GRC platform.
• Consult with and advise on Archer GRC module customization.
• Assist outside business units in Archer change management and user acceptance testing.
• Perform User Access Reviews across the enterprise for Archer system users.
• Enhance and automate reporting for second line partners.
• Support Archer Governance Committee materials and meeting minutes.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement of risk management programs and procedures.
• Develop and deliver training on Archer end-user experience and risk topics.
• Maintain knowledge through industry training and cross-training.
