The candidate will guide government and contractor staff, mentor junior RMOs, and drive process improvements while balancing multiple high-priority risk programs across a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in risk treatment or risk management across law, finance, business, operations, or security.
• Eight+ years’ experience or education in risk management systems or guidelines (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO).
• Eight+ years’ experience in communicating verbally and in writing.
• Eight+ years’ experience in data analysis, trend analysis, and problem-solving; proficient with data manipulation in databases and Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, and oversee RMSs addressing risk indicators with clear treatments, rationales, and residual risk.
• Ensure RMSs adhere to internal style guides before dissemination.
• Actively manage a portfolio of companies under mitigation.
• Provide technical direction to Government and Contractor staff on risks and mitigation options.
• Coach and mentor junior RMOs; conduct peer reviews of RMSs.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions across workflows, formats, and training.
• Manage workload with suspense dates and priority realignment as needed.
