Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Day shift, full-time Risk Manager Registered Nurse to lead the risk management program at Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center. You will develop and support facility-level risk activities, implement policies, identify and mitigate risks, provide risk education, and support patient safety and quality initiatives.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, 3+ years in healthcare risk management or related areas; BLS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required.
• 3+ years of healthcare, risk management, quality, compliance, patient safety, or related experience.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Risk Management Program across the facility.
• Develop and support facility-level risk management activities and programs.
• Manage risk management needs including policy and procedure implementation, risk identification and mitigation, and education.
• Support patient safety and quality activities as needed.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-service maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• The Risk Manager is responsible for the execution of the Ardent Risk Management Program across their facility.
• This position develops and supports facility level risk management activities and programs.
• This position will manage the Risk Management needs across the facility, including risk management policy and procedure implementation, risk identification and mitigation, provide risk management related education, support and event investigations.
• This position will also support patient safety and quality activities as needed.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• 3+ years of healthcare, risk management, quality, compliance, patient safety, or related experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in nursing or related field.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
