A leading insurance company is seeking a Risk Manager specializing in healthcare and medical malpractice. The role involves developing risk management resources, conducting educational seminars, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance patient safety. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant experience.
Provides healthcare risk management recommendations and creates and delivers risk management educational programs, with the goal of promoting patient safety and mitigating the risk of claims. Participates in maintaining and enhancing the professional relationship between the Company, its insureds, the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and other partners. Collaborates with other departments in creating and delivering service and retention plans.
Location Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be based in the Midwest or Southeast region of the US, but candidates who live in other locations will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree. At least five years’ experience in claims or risk management at a medical malpractice insurance company or loss prevention department of a healthcare facility.

Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel to domestic locations multiple times a year. Must be able to attend weekend conferences in a variety of cities.

Starting Salary: $114,516 (outside of SF Bay Area); $127,240 (SF Bay Area)
