Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL seeks a Risk Manager to oversee loss analysis, incident reporting, and risk education. You will analyze data to reduce high-risk incidents, coordinate education, and advise clinical staff on risk matters.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and HIPAA/regulatory knowledge. This role involves on-site work with flexible hours and on-call duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversees the system for identification and analysis of loss or injury exposure, maintaining both mandatory and voluntary incident reporting systems.
• Provides statistical analysis on areas of risk to identify, evaluate, eliminate, or reduce incidents in high-risk areas.
• Coordinates risk education classes for new orienteers and provides continuing education on an annual and as-needed basis.
• Serves as a conduit of information on legal questions and an advisory resource in risk matters for clinical staff.
• Facilitates root cause analysis (RCA) projects for issues/errors with life-threatening potential or serious injury/death.
• Reviews records and documentation on potentially compensable events and reports liability claims to administration and corporate risk management.
• Assures proper and timely investigation of accidents and incidents, including gathering information and sequestering equipment.
• Coordinates legal processes for scheduling statements, depositions, and trial appearances in response to subpoenas.
• Facilitates the patient grievance process, ensuring grievances are investigated and directing inquiries to appropriate directors and managers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
