Job summary

Hermitage Hall, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Risk Manager to oversee the hospital's Patient Safety and Risk Management Program. You will lead risk management activities in line with policies, licensing requirements, CARF standards, and regulatory expectations.

You will coordinate loss prevention, identify risks, and advise on strategies to improve patient care quality. The role includes risk prevention education, participating in surveys, and on-call leadership duties.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred and relevant licensure/credentials may be required.
  • 2+ years of related risk management/quality improvement experience preferred.
  • Residential setting experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with CARF standards, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate, track, and analyze incidents, adverse events, grievances, and potential liability exposures.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor risk management policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to leadership regarding risk mitigation strategies and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to identify, evaluate, and address potential risks.
  • Coordinate regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and licensure audits.
  • Prepare reports, track trends, and present risk management data to leadership.
  • Participate in administrative on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.

Hermitage Hall (a UHS company) is one of Middle Tennessee's largest stand‑alone psychiatric residential treatment hospitals. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Risk Management is a key member of the Hermitage Hall leadership team, responsible for overseeing the hospital’s Patient Safety and Risk Management Program. This role leads risk management and compliance activities in accordance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, CARF standards, and regulatory expectations.

The Manager coordinates loss prevention efforts, identifies potential risks, and recommends strategies to reduce exposure and enhance patient care quality. Responsibilities also include providing risk prevention education, supporting departmental risk mitigation initiatives, and coordinating regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and licensure audits.
