Job Title: Sector Evaluator – Insurance Domain (AI Evaluation)
Role Overview

We are seeking an Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team, playing a critical role in the evaluation, development, and enhancement of AI models used in key insurance processes. You will work closely with AI, data science, and product teams to ensure that our AI systems are accurate, compliant, and aligned with industry standards. This role provides the opportunity to shape the future of AI in insurance, ensuring models meet real-world needs in underwriting, claims, pricing, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AI, data science, and product teams to evaluate AI models used in underwriting, claims processing, risk assessment, and pricing. Focus on policy retention and policy renewal
  • Identify gaps, biases, and limitations in current AI models, providing domain-specific insights for improvement.
  • Validation Against Industry Standards
  • Ensure AI outputs align with real-world insurance practices, regulatory requirements, and customer experience standards.
  • Define and apply key metrics and success criteria to assess model performance and relevance to business objectives.
  • Support data labeling and annotation efforts, providing insurance-specific context to improve training and evaluation datasets.
  • Explainable AI & Transparency
  • Assist in the development of explainable AI frameworks, ensuring model transparency and enhancing trust with stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Market Awareness
  • Stay up to date with evolving insurance regulations, compliance standards, and emerging AI applications within the insurance sector.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in underwriting, claims processing, risk modeling, or product management.
