Risk Management & Patient Safety RN Manager
An exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Risk Management & Patient Safety RN Manager to join our renowned healthcare facility in Philadelphia, PA. Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies that include loss prevention, risk identification, analysis, and timely follow-up.
- Manage and resolve general and healthcare professional liability claims effectively.
- Promote a culture of safety and reliability, leading patient safety improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Oversee investigation, analysis, and follow-up of all safety event reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and patient safety principles.
- Collaborate with the Director of Quality and Safety, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to forge strategies that bolster patient safety and risk mitigation.
- Engage in continuous educational opportunities to remain abreast of the latest trends and regulations in risk management and patient safety.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Active Registered Nurse License.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records; Epic proficiency is particularly desirable.
- Proven experience in risk management and patient safety roles within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations.
- Commitment to ethical and confidential handling of patient data and information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certification in healthcare risk management (CPHRM).
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
- Prior history of successfully implementing change within an organization.
- Strong leadership experience, especially in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of working well under pressure.
