Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc. is seeking a student to support the Risk Management and Claims team. You will assist in insurance claim processing, data analysis, and project-related risk activities on typical 3–6 month assignments.

The role provides on-the-job training and exposure to large heavy civil projects, with buddy assignments and social events. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Safety Management, Occupational safety or related field.
  • Must be a team player with collaborative attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Risk Management and Claims team with administration, tracking, and processing of insurance claims and risk-related activities.
  • Process reported General Liability and Auto incidents in the claims management system.
  • Assist with management of minor General Liability and Auto claims inventory.
  • Enter and document new claims received through various reporting channels.
  • Process self-reported claims and coordinate submission to insurance carriers.
  • Support claim cost allocations and project chargebacks through the claims system.
  • Scan, organize, and maintain claims department records and documentation.
  • Run reports and assist with presentations and data analysis.
  • Support subrogation and recovery efforts as assigned.
  • Provide claim status updates and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with additional risk management projects and departmental initiatives as needed.

Typical Duties

  • Students will support the Risk Management and Claims team in the administration, tracking, and processing of insurance claims and risk-related activities.
  • Processing reported General Liability and Auto incidents through the claims management system

Qualifications
