Job summary

Beef Northwest Feeders, LLC is seeking a motivated Risk Management Intern to join our RM Team. The internship provides hands-on experience in grain, livestock, and related products, with exposure to how commodities are bought, sold, and hedged in agriculture.

You will assist with market research, data entry, and risk management activities, while supporting traders and senior leadership with market updates and analysis.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor agricultural commodity markets, including futures, cash prices, and basis levels.
• Assist traders with data entry, order tracking, and trade reconciliation.
• Conduct research on supply/demand factors, USDA reports, weather patterns, and global trade flows.
• Support the preparation of daily position, risk exposure, and profit/loss reports.
• Help evaluate hedging strategies using futures, options, and other risk management tools.
• Assist in preparing presentations and market summaries for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate trade settlements.
• Maintain organized records of trades, contracts, and compliance documentation.
