Mortenson Construction is seeking a Risk Management Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. You will work with project teams to coordinate insurance requirements, review certificates, and support risk programs while gaining hands-on experience.

The program emphasizes practical learning, cross‑team collaboration, and exposure to data analysis with Power BI and Excel. A focus on growth and meaningful contribution is emphasized throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate four‑year degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Actuarial Science or related field.
• Preference for prior internship experience and junior status.
• Basic understanding of construction and general business practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating insurance contracts, risk program operations and claims.
• Review and track trade partner insurance certificates.
• Communicate requirements to project teams, customers, partners and agents.
• Support Mortenson's property and casualty insurance program.
• Visualize data in Power BI or Excel and analyze trends.
