Job summary

Dutra Group is seeking a risk management support professional to assist the Risk Manager across safety, compliance, and loss-control initiatives in California. The role involves handling COIs, fleet registrations, and regulatory reports, with collaboration across Operations, Legal, and Accounting.

Responsibilities include incident support, OSHA reporting, and coordinating with Marsh brokerage services to ensure contractual coverage and contractor compliance.

• Acquire, review, and distribute COIs through Marsh brokerage team.
• Update and distribute Approved Driver List; manage Employer Pull Notice Program.
• Coordinate registration and renewals for Dutra's auto fleet.
• Submit COFR renewal applications for vessels.
• Assist in incident investigations and data collection.
• Assist with OSHA 300/300A forms.
• Coordinate with Operations to track projects and assets; notify underwriters of events.
• Attend quarterly claim reviews with Risk Manager.
• Prepare materials for hearings and investigations.
• Assist Risk Manager as needed.

SUMMARY:

Support the Risk Manager in identifying, evaluating, and controlling loss exposures. Collaborate across departments including Operations, Safety, Labor Relations, Estimating, Legal, and Accounting to integrate risk management practices and ensure comprehensive oversight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generally assist the Risk Department in the development and enforcement of safety and compliance policies designed to manage the loss exposure for company assets;
• Manage incoming COI database from subcontractors and third parties to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, expiration dates, and project coverage;
• Acquire, review, and distribute Dutra COIs under contract through Marsh brokerage team;
• Update, curate, and regularly distribute Dutra's Approved Driver List to relevant stakeholders and manage Dutra's Employer Pull Notice Program;
• Coordinate and distribute registration and renewals for Dutra's auto fleet;
• Compile and submit renewal applications for bi-annual State/Federal Certificates of Financial Responsibility (COFR) for qualifying vessels;
• Assist Risk Manager and Safety Manager in incident investigations, data collection and documentation;
• Assist Risk Manager and Safety Manager in reviewing, compiling, and submitting annual OSHA 300 and 300A forms;
• Coordinate with Operations divisions to track project progress and asset locations, coordinate with Risk Manager to provide underwriters appropriate notice (i.e. tandem tows, technical tows, severe weather, etc.);
• Attend quarterly Jones Act/Longshore/Workers' Compensation claim reviews alongside Risk Manager;
• Assist Risk Manager in the preparation of material and evidence for use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations;
