SAGE Campbell seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant for emergency coverage. The role focuses on compassionate, collaborative care across Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Rehab, joining a supportive team.

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday 10AM-8:30PM or Sunday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM, with a competitive hourly pay of $25-$40 plus a $5.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years of ER/CCU clinical experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform calculations for drug doses, CRIs, invoices and estimates.
• Maintain VACSP; obtain within 60 days or hold CA-RVT license.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures.
• Monitor critically ill or injured patients.
• Collaborate with the team for around-the-clock care and treatment coordination.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and owners.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding updates and plans.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide emergency care.

• Full-Time - 4/10 Schedule Sunday - Wednesday 10AM - 8:30PM or Sunday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM Basic Required Qualifications: High school diploma 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting required Strong interpersonal skills Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
