Zurich North America is hiring a Risk Engineering (Representative or Consultant) to join our team! This position will be remote in the state of Florida.

Zurich Risk Engineers travel to customer locations to perform risk assessments and advise customers across various industries. Our approach emphasizes consulting and loss prevention using engineering expertise, rather than just regulatory compliance checklists and inspections.

The Middle Market Risk Engineering team provides detailed risk assessments focusing on Casualty (health and safety) and Property (fire protection, special hazards, natural catastrophe exposures) to help protect our customers and Zurich from losses.

This role offers training opportunities based on your experience with Property exposures, supporting a career in global insurance. As a Zurich Risk Engineer, you will analyze exposures, help customers manage risks, and work in a flexible, fast-paced environment. You'll travel to client sites, collaborate with underwriting teams, and have access to advanced risk management tools and training. With a network of over 900 specialists, you will be part of a team dedicated to technical excellence.

This is a work-from-home position with travel estimated at 25-50%, and a company car is provided. Final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record check due to the company car policy.

The role will be filled at either the Risk Engineering Representative or Risk Engineering Consultant level, depending on experience and skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in Risk Management and Property & Casualty Safety
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of experience in Risk Management and Property & Casualty Safety

Risk Engineering Consultant:

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
• Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate's degree and 3+ years of experience in Risk Engineering
• Experience working in a team environment
• Relevant risk assessment experience based on LOB-specific standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of exposures and controls
