Job summary

World Relief is seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to lead countrywide risk management, internal controls, audit assurance, and safeguarding compliance for its Sudan programs.

In this role you will oversee donor and partner compliance, accountability to affected populations, and complaints mechanisms, and you will report to the Country Director and Senior Management Team while building capacity across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, Development Studies, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of risk management, compliance, audit, internal controls, partner assurance or program quality.
• Experience in INGO context is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the country risk register, assessment, ownership, mitigation actions, deadlines and escalation.
• Lead risk-based audits and compliance reviews across donors, partners, and field sites.
• Direct due diligence and monitoring for sub-partners and risk-based partner management.
• Oversee AAP, complaints and safeguarding compliance mechanisms and strengthen accountability.
• Provide leadership, training, and capacity building for risk and compliance staff.
