Job summary

The Connection, a statewide human services and community development agency, seeks a Compliance and Risk Management Specialist 2 in Middletown, CT. You will support agency-wide compliance, risk management, insurance, contract administration, licensing, and audits.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s with 2+ years, and demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of compliance or risk management experience, or a master's with 2+ years.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with insurance administration, audits, regulatory compliance, and data management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate agency-wide compliance and risk management processes.
• Support insurance renewals and claims management.
• Assist with external audits and corrective action plans.
• Oversee records requests and document retention.
• Collaborate with program leadership to monitor regulatory compliance.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and risk prevention.
