Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions seeks a seasoned Risk Claims Manager to lead auto liability and workers’ compensation claims. This is an exempt, individual-contributor role with no direct reports, reporting to the Senior Director of Compliance.

You will investigate claims, coordinate with insurers, set reserves, and drive loss-reduction strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of extensive claims experience in a senior-level, individual-contributor role.
• Extensive knowledge of liability claims administration, including litigation avoidance.
• Understanding of medical treatments, tort, venue and jurisdictional matters; strong investigative skills.
• Strong independent decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel for reporting and analysis.

This is an individual-contributor role with no direct reports — the Risk Claims Manager will manage claims for physical property damage, auto vehicle damage, and other verifiable damage, rather than overseeing a claims staff. The role ensures complete and sound claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures, and directly manages workers' compensation claims, including return-to-work documentation and modified duty job offers. The Risk Claims Manager will recommend measures to reduce or eliminate losses due to accidents and injuries.**This position has the potential to be remote.****ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES*** Personally investigate and manage the company's claims.
