What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as the line manager for the PCSE Risk & Assurance (RA) team, managing performance, supporting development, training, and career planning.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain a comprehensive PCSE assurance plan and associated risk governance frameworks.
- Ensure the RA team meets all objectives to comply with contractual, legislative, and Capita policies, as well as any other necessary obligations.
- Facilitate joint governance between Capita and its client, generating and submitting progress reports on risks, control assurance, and actions.
- Promote a minimum level of risk awareness within PCSE.
- Manage incidents effectively through to resolution, incorporating lessons learned and analyzing trends.
- Report on compliance with the divisional assurance framework.
- Organize and facilitate risk reviews and control self-assessments.
- Generate value-added assurance and compliance reports to validate internal control mechanisms, identify risks, and provide expert insights.
- Coordinate, manage, and respond to internal and external audit activities and reports, tracking actions to resolution.
- Prepare regular submissions to the Account Risk & Assurance Committee and fulfill other reporting requirements as needed.
- Ensure the team maintains and updates any contractually required documentation.
- Support the management and coordination of Capita Group and external audits.
- Oversee the coordination of Capita's resilience framework within PCSE.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of risk management, operational resilience, compliance, assurance, and audit.
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders up to HoF/MD level.
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Commercial awareness and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Qualification in risk management is desirable but not essential; practical knowledge and hands-on expertise are crucial.
