Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Senior Developer to join Capital Risk Engineering, a global team delivering risk computations and data platform enhancements. You will apply prior credit risk domain experience from large banks to help scale and evolve the platform.

You will tune performance, build risk reporting with SQL and Tableau, and work across Java, Scala, Spark, and Snowflake to deliver timely insights for risk management actions. Collaboration with business users is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in risk technology teams at large banks or financial institutions.
• Experience in credit risk management and related technology.
• Strong software development fundamentals and data structures.
• Familiarity with multiple programming languages and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and tune risk calculations and data platform components.
• Build internal/external reporting using SQL and Tableau.
• Collaborate with business users to resolve issues and deliver actionable insights.
• Utilize web technologies for front end UI in risk management actions.
• Oversee SDLC activities including design reviews and production migrations.
