Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting is seeking a Manager in Risk Advisory (Business Process) to lead diverse engagements across financial, strategic, and enterprise risk domains in a hybrid New York, NY environment. You will guide project planning, budget management, and delivery quality while coaching a talented team and maintaining strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes implementing AI-enabled solutions within firm policy, advancing internal controls, and driving client value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting).
• Strong technical and analytical skills in risk and controls, business processes, and general management consulting.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and helping project teams resolve multi-faceted issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational side of ongoing projects, including engagement planning, budget development, progress tracking, and quality review of deliverables.
• Lead audit, risk assessment, control testing, and risk management projects, including fieldwork, control testing, and preparation of work papers that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Conduct walkthroughs with management and document processes through narratives, flowcharts, and risk control matrices.
• Evaluate, design, and test internal controls, and recommend practical remediation for identified risk and control gaps.
• Build and maintain client relationships, serving as the main point of contact between the client and the project team and developing a working understanding of the client’s business.
• Coach and mentor team members through regular feedback and annual performance reviews, and support project teams in resolving complex issues.
• Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
