Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Intern in Risk Advisory Services to support internal audit, SOX, and risk assessment efforts. You will assist with planning, field work, and report composition while working under senior Risk Advisory professionals.

The role emphasizes analytical skills, client communication, and basic research. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance is required, with MBA preferred and CPA credits pursued.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance, required.
• Pursuing an MBA or other relevant advanced degree, preferred.
• Past leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assists with informational interviews and client meetings during engagement process.
• Collects information, documents, and data from clients to support analysis.
• Documents and analyzes client's processes, risks, and controls with guidance.
• Develops initial deliverables/solutions to client issues.
• Uses research tools and databases to understand client's industry.
• Assists in drafting proposals and maintains engagement documentation.
• Travel up to 20% as required.
