Job summary

BDO USA, PC in Dallas is seeking an Intern for Risk Advisory Services to assist senior staff in risk consulting across internal audit, SOX, process improvement, IT, and fraud investigations. You will participate in planning, fieldwork, wrap-up and report composition.

You will help gather information, document processes, and contribute to initial deliverables while researching industry issues. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Actively pursuing CPA credentials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with informational interviews and client meetings during engagements.
• Help obtain information, documents, and data from clients for analysis.
• Document and analyze client processes, risks and controls with guidance.
• Develop initial deliverables and potential solutions for client issues.
• Use research tools and publications to understand the client's industry.
• Assist in drafting proposals and maintaining engagement documentation.
• Maintain all work papers and project documentation.
• Other duties as required.
