Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to join our Tampa, FL or Miami, FL offices. You will collaborate with our Structural Engineering Team to design new buildings and restore existing structures using the latest digital tools.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Structural or Civil Engineering, 0–3 years of internship experience, and strong communication skills. Training will cover structural design and Revit, with opportunities to work on projects across the United States.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
  • 0–3 years of internship or post-education experience.
  • Familiarity with design/build concepts and codes/regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design of new buildings and restoration projects.
  • Analyze superstructures and foundations in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry.
  • Use BIM and digital tools for design work.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks and procedures.
  • Travel occasionally as project needs may require.
