Job summary

CSS is seeking a Project Manager I to join our utility-focused team in Forest Park, GA. You will manage all aspects of a project to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and vendor coordination.

This role requires preparing status reports for upper management, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and handling multiple work streams with close supervision. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum directing work in project management, with 4+ years preferred
• Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning and resource allocation
• Proven ability to manage processes to achieve objectives
• Ability to build effective relationships across functions and negotiate effectively

Responsibilities

• Provides end-to-end project support from initiation to closeout
• Defines scope, goals and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders
• Develops full-scale project plans and communications documents
• Communicates updates and progress to the manager
• Estimates resources and participants needed to reach goals
• Aligns activities with safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives
• Drafts and submits budget proposals and supports budget changes
• Determines staffing needs and manages personnel across the project
• Sets and manages expectations with team members
• Identifies and resolves project issues and conflicts
• Manages dependencies and critical path
• Plans schedules and milestones with appropriate tools
• Tracks milestones and deliverables
• Prepares progress reports and presentations
• Implements contingency plans to address project risks
