Job summary

Prospect Waterproofing Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Roofing & Waterproofing to support the project management team on commercial roofing and waterproofing projects in the DC/MD/VA region.

You will assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and budget tracking, while coordinating with clients, field teams, and consultants. This fast-paced role requires strong organization and clear communication, with growth toward a full project manager role in about two years.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting or managing commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of roofing and waterproofing systems and related materials.
• Proficiency in preparing submittals, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit submittals and coordinate shop drawings for review and approval.
• Write and submit RFIs to resolve design issues.
• Assist in identifying scope changes and preparing change orders for review.
• Assist the project manager with tracking costs, updating forecasts, and budget management.
• Coordinate with field superintendents to support project execution and resolve issues.
