Job summary

Interstates is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in its Automation group to help keep projects on track. You will work with professional service teams to deliver quality results on industrial electrical construction, engineering, instrumentation, and automation projects.

The role supports project leadership, coordinates documented communications, and participates in monthly reviews while traveling up to 20% to fit project needs.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in construction/engineering or related field.
• Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate with PMs, crews, and clients on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and site leadership on the project.
• Maintain project control systems and CPM schedules.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, minutes, and site communications.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with trade contractors.
• Support procurement, expediting, and monthly project reviews.
