Job summary

Clausen Miller P.C. is seeking a Liability Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join our COVERAGE practice group.

The position offers early hands-on experience with depositions, hearings, and direct client interaction, working closely with experienced partners in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. You'll handle direct client communications, contribute to case strategy, and develop skills across discovery, motions, and trial preparation while benefiting from a flexible hybrid

Qualifications

• Active license and good standing with the Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin State Bar.
• 1–3 years coverage exposure or relevant experience.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
• Self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicating directly with clients and developing strong professional relationships
• Managing written discovery and preparing strategic case analyses
• Drafting and arguing motions and engaging in motion practice
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Appearing in court and participating in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Assisting with trial preparation and post-trial motions, including appeals
