Job summary

Clausen Miller P.C. is expanding its New York litigation team and seeks an Associate Attorney to work closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload including casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability.

You will take depositions, appear in court, and build litigation skills within a collaborative, well-resourced team, with a hybrid schedule offering in-office and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or environmental liability.
• Active New York bar admission required; New Jersey bar admission a plus.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review.
• Perform legal research and case analysis.
• Appear in New York courts as needed.

Clausen Miller P.C. is a nationally recognized insurance defense firm with decades of experience representing major insurers and self-insured clients across complex litigation matters. We're growing our New York litigation team and looking for a motivated Associate Attorney to work closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload spanning casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability.

This is a hands-on role from day one — you'll be taking depositions, making court appearances, and building your litigation skills within a collaborative, well-resourced team.
