Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of related estimating experience.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and identify missing elements.
• Strong written and verbal communication and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate quantity take-offs by reviewing plans, specifications, and instructions for estimate preparation.
• Enter quantity take-offs and material unit pricings for estimates.
• Apply appropriate work breakdown structure (WBS).
• Coordinate estimate material pricing from vendors and other sources; develop pricing for basic project elements.
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
• Contribute to the preparation of key estimating deliverables.
• Support conceptual estimating efforts within the department, including basic model development.
• Develop budgets and purchasing plans with minimal oversight from senior estimation staff.
• Coordinate flow of documents during estimate preparation.
• Provide administrative logging of estimates.
• Perform additional duties as required.
