Job summary

Acuren in Utah is seeking an Intermediate CP Technician to plan and perform cathodic protection tasks supporting assigned projects. You will work independently or on a project team, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include diagnosing CP/AC mitigation deficiencies, field surveys, data organization, training junior staff, and contributing to quality and client relations. Requires CP2 certification and hands-on experience with CP systems and related software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in pipeline integrity or oil and gas industry.
• 1+ year in cathodic protection or AC mitigation.
• NACE CP2 certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot CP and AC mitigation deficiencies during field surveys and installations.
• Maintain detailed field notes and provide assessment recommendations.
• Sketch CP system components and electrical schematics.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
