Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is hiring a Project Manager II to serve on the OVCR Research Development team, supporting RISE themes (AI, EARTH, THRIVE). You will coordinate initiatives, manage deliverables, and work with faculty, centers, and external partners to advance strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in project management, program administration, research administration, higher education administration, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies extramural funding opportunities related to one or more of the RISE themes (5%).
• Creates a project plan, monitors progress and performance against the project plan, and identifies risks and issues (35%).
• Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet targets and milestones (30%).
• Manages the activities of outside contractors to ensure integration and quality of service (5%).
• Facilitates cost, resource, and time estimation for project phases and monitors changes (10%).
• Prepares regular reports to communicate project status to stakeholders (15%).
