Job summary

UW School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison invites applications for a Research Services Manager (RSM) within the IDiA Lab to lead multi-site projects integrating AI in imaging and pathology. The role coordinates data acquisition, deidentification, clinical data management, and regulatory compliance while overseeing budgets and staff.

The RSM will liaise with PIs and researchers, develop policies, and drive grant proposals, DUAs, and cross-institutional collaborations to advance oncology,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience and/or experience leading a team.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with pre- and post- award research administration including grant proposal development and/or budget planning/management.
• Experience with research compliance including IRB protocols and data use agreements (DUAs).

Responsibilities

• Serves as a subject matter expert and unit liaison. Provides updates on project components and timelines to stakeholders as needed.
• Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives.
• Assists with the development and auditing of project-specific budgets.
• Assists with the design, monitoring, and execution of project-specific experiments. Identifies and resolves technical issues.
• May direct the day-to-day activities of staff and resolve routine personnel issues.
• Develops and facilitates research specific presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Assists with the development and submission of research grant proposals.
• Coordinates internal and external research collaborations including management of data use agreements (DUAs) and datasets shared under those agreements.
