Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years right-of-way acquisition, abstracting, oil/mineral leasing or title insurance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain notary in the state of residence and to be bonded.

Responsibilities

• Searches courthouse records, prepares title data, prepares easements and determines compensation for easements rights.
• Reviews easements for accuracy and completeness of land descriptions, titles and notarization.
• Applies for railroad permits, reviewing region personnel’s legal descriptions & exhibits to be sent with applications as well as permit fees and insurance information.
• Prepares and provides copies of easements and permits to internal/external customers.
• Responsible for verifying company owned land for internal/external customers.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
