Gresham Smith, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Right-of-Way Agent for our Transportation Market. The role supports infrastructure projects by acquiring rights-of-way, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; three years’ experience may substitute education.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.
• Experience with basic business accounting and project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Act as the owner’s representative to acquire rights-of-way, access rights, and easements for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate general right-of-way activities and prepare real estate packages.
• Compile data to support fee proposal development.
• Manage contract administration, subconsultant agreements, and invoices.
• Coordinate reports, appraisals, and documents needed to secure rights-of-way.
• Explain plans to property owners and handle document control.
• Set up and close out project systems; assist with scheduling and budgeting.
• Provide project reporting to the Project Manager and team.
• Enter data into relevant databases and liaise with accounting on billing.
