Job summary

MnDOT is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to conduct direct purchase activities in District 1 in compliance with the Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition policies, Minnesota statutes, and MnDOT policies. The role supports the Principal Engineer with consultant and property management tasks.

It also administers the Relocation Program for MnDOT or other agencies when MnDOT acts as their agent; some telework may be available. Laura Saari is the recruitment contact.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in real estate with at least two areas: appraisals, title investigations, negotiations, relocations, or property management relating to leases/permits.
• Knowledge of Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act and amendments.
• Valid Class D Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct purchase activities in District 1 in compliance with laws and MnDOT policies.
• Assist the Principal Engineer with consultant management and property management tasks.
