Job summary

The MTA in Alaska is seeking a Right-of-Way Coordinator to manage and certify right-of-way for projects moving toward construction. You will negotiate grants, permits, and easements, coordinate with federal, state and local agencies, and maintain environmental permitting requirements.

Responsibilities include title research, reporting, and ensuring conformance with regulations. Strong communication with landowners, developers and engineers is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years in utilities right-of-way, government, public admin, real estate or related fields.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans and title reports for right-of-way certification.
• Must obtain IRWA Right-of-Way Agent designation within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement right-of-way for projects through construction.
• Negotiate grants, permits and easements for MTA needs and protection.
• Identify environmental permitting requirements (e.g., SWPPP).
• Maintain permit/easement management systems; data entry and filing.
