Team Fishel in Hartfield, VA seeks a Right of Way Agent to manage land and right of way negotiations for utility projects. The role covers acquisition, easements, permits, and related agreements, with emphasis on minimizing risk and maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will research titles, negotiate terms, prepare cost estimates, and liaise with landowners, agencies, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a four-year college or university.
• Knowledge in all aspects of right of way, including project management, acquisition, title, permitting, budgeting, cost forecasting, operations, due diligence, public relations, and community outreach.
• A satisfactory driving record and a valid state driver's license are mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Identify land/property ownership from public records.
• Review titles, identify defects, and outline curative actions.
• Negotiate right of way and property rights for project needs.
• Negotiate property damage settlements related to projects.
• Prepare cost estimates for land and right of way acquisitions.
• Secure civil permits for construction and maintenance.
• Review and interpret land and right of way agreements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and authorities.
• Resolve encroachments and landowner inquiries at minimal cost.
