Job summary

The City of Gluckstadt is seeking a Maintenance Worker II for the Right-Of-Way crew. This role handles maintenance duties, operates trucks and equipment such as zero-turnmowers, edgers, and weed eaters, and works under a crew leader.

Responsibilities include grass cutting in the right-of-way, drainage cleaning, litter removal, and occasional support for street upkeep. Overtime may be required for project deadlines or emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with grass-cutting equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Operation of motor vehicles.
• Cutting grass in the right-of-way.
• Litter pickup within road rights-of-way.
• Clearing of drainage areas of debris by machinery or by hand.
• May assist with pothole patching and related street work.
