Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns in Denver, CO to assist with standard engineering tasks, design updates, and supporting lead engineers on diverse projects across market segments.

Responsibilities include data entry, documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred, with campus or community involvement encouraged. This role is located in US-CO Denver and is a full-time internship with travel up to 5%.

Environmental Services

• Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Real Estate, Communications, Land and right-of-way services or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Compensation

$19.00-30.00 Hourly

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.
