Job summary

State of Nevada in Carson City is seeking an Engineering Technician within the Right-of-Way Division. The role involves calculations, map drafting from CADD, and preparing land descriptions for property interests. You will research public records and provide support to divisions and the public.

Responsibilities include assisting engineers with tests, setting up equipment, data analysis, and ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines. Strong drafting and surveying skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering, physics, math or closely related field with one year of experience; OR high school diploma with two years of experience; OR one year as Engineering Technician II in Nevada State service.
• Experience in a specialized engineering function or program area with adherence to procedures, standards and controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with field and laboratory tests and data analysis.
• Prepare maps and documents related to right-of-way and water rights.
• Research records to determine property ownership and boundaries.
• Review plans and specifications for compliance with policies and standards.
