Job summary

The State of Nevada in Carson City seeks an Engineering Technician IV for the Right-of-Way Survey Services Team. The role coordinates internal assignments and reviews to meet project needs and deadlines, and prepares submittals for the Engineering Technician 5.

Engineers' support includes drafting, surveying, calculations, and data analysis in field and lab settings, with guidance from senior staff. A related degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering/physics/math or closely related field with 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years progressively responsible engineering experience.
• One year of experience as an Engineering Technician III in Nevada State service.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in field and laboratory tests and data collection.
• Perform drafting and computer-aided drafting for maps, plans and specifications.
• Coordinate internal assignments and reviews to meet project needs and deadlines.
• Prepare submittals and support documents for higher-level engineers.
• Conduct surveying work and analyze data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
