Fastenal, a leading distributor of industrial and construction supplies, seeks a full-time Industrial Services Rigging Fabricator in Indianapolis, IN. You will fabricate custom lifting and rigging products and read prints to design lifting solutions, while adhering to safety standards.

The position offers a full-time schedule with standard daytime shifts, opportunities for onboarding and advancement within a growing company known for its entrepreneurial culture and strong field presence.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY).

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing wire rope slings and chain slings.
• Cutting and spooling cable.
• Measuring and cutting various cut to length chain assemblies.
• Cutting and crimping non-overhead lifting chain and cable assemblies.
• Reading prints for custom fabricated items.
• Understanding customer's lifting needs to design lifting solutions.
• Inspecting all outgoing rigging assemblies.
• Complying with safety regulations.
