Job summary

American Equipment Holdings, through Ashley Sling, seeks a Rigger Fabricator to produce assemblies used worldwide in construction, energy, mining, crane operation, and aerospace. You will learn to identify diameters, constructions, and applications for wire rope, slings, hoists, and related products.

You will work with experienced staff, interpret drawings, ensure quality, maintain equipment, and manage inventory while following safety guidelines and codes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fabricating and distributing lifting and rigging equipment in industrial settings.
• Expertise in fabricating slings (nylon, polyester, wire rope) and rigging hardware.
• Strong understanding of materials used in lifting and rigging applications and their properties.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to lifting and rigging equipment.
• Able to operate fabricating equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail, plus teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble lifting and rigging products including slings, wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, hoists, synthetic ropes, and tie-down equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for fabrication and assembly.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain and repair fabricating equipment and tools.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products for timely orders.
• Review drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables.
• Understand codes and specifications on order tickets.
• Calculate wire rope cut lengths and fitting requirements for all assemblies.
• Splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings.
• Operate swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts (training provided).
• Attach tags/labels to products; report defects; keep area clean and safe.
