Job summary

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills required.
• Safety and general job training completed as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load size and weight.
• Attach pulleys/blocks to overhead structures.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Direct Crane Operator using hand signals or devices to ensure safety.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment per signals and directions.
• Assess and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Maintain regular attendance; significant travel may be required.
