Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively.
• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.
• 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work.
• Must be able to work up to 200 feet.

Responsibilities

• Select cables and tools for lifting and moving heavy loads.
• Attach load with rigging devices and give directions to crane operator.
• Set up and maintain hoisting equipment.
• Clean and inspect tools and equipment used in Rigging.

Skills

Ability to interpret an Engineer’s rigging plan

Knowledge of rigging equipment

Ability to tie various knots

Physical stamina and strength
