Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a warehouse/manufacturing technician with strong forklift and crane experience for our South Carolina plant. The role emphasizes operating a large forklift (15K–35K capacity) and possibly an overhead crane, reading blueprints, and working with the shipping and production teams to move parts safely and efficiently.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, familiar with chain hoists, shackles, and slings, and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs consistently and safely.
• Read blueprints and use torque wrenches.
• Experience operating large forklifts (15K–35K) and overhead cranes.
• Mechanically inclined with chain hoists, shackles and slings.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• We are specifically looking for LARGE FORKLIFT (!) (15K to 35K) and/or CRANE Experience. Just Forklift experience is fine. Just Crane experience would be fine. No certifications needed... Also looking for Very mechanically inclined candidates with Chain Hoists, Shackle, and Sling Experience. Mechanical Fitter or Tooling is a nice bonus... You could be a Mechanical Fitter with some Forklift experience and that could work.
• We work Overtime sometimes and our plant is Not climate-controlled but has large fans etc. Maintain positive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding accountability, and safety.
• Use of hand-held controls to operate a Forklift and possibly an overhead crane in a safe manner. Work with the shipping team to ensure that parts are moved in accordance with business needs.
• Read blueprints to install copper and aluminum and use hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. consistently / safely.
